Wilfred Varnish Barrett

Born q1 1886 in Cheltenham ref 6a/437 - Wilfred Varnish.

Aged 3 in 1891 at Malvern Cottage, Leckhampton with parents and sister Eva.

Aged 15 in 1901 and a market gardener living with parents.

Married Agnes in Leckhampton in February 1918 some 6 months before his death.

Died in September 1918 near Bapaume serving in the Royal Worcestershire Regiment as a Second Lieutenant in the 8th Battalion. His memorial is to be found at Grevillers BC xii.C.ii. See Media for cemetery picture and memorial stone.
