William FOSTER was born c1797 in High Cross, England
William married Mary TOTTENHAM and they had the following children

- Mary Ann 1827
William was convicted of highway robbery and was sentenced to transportation for life. He arrived in Sydney Cove on 17/10/1827 on "Champion". HIs wife and children followed him to Australia, arriving in 1834.
William was sent to Van Diemens Land, arriving on 23/11/1844 on "Governor Phillip"
William died 13/5/1847 in Port Arthur, Tasmania
