From "Greenwich Village Hitoric District, vol 1," 1969, City of NY, p 76.

Amos St is now W 10th. 42, 44 & 46 W 10th have been replaced with a 9 story apt house built in 1917. However, #52 is a "charming Federal town house of brick biuilt in 1830-31 by Abner Tucker, a carpenter. Two and one half stories in height, with a facade in Flemish bond brickwork, this little house is a fine syrviving example of the Federal period of NY architecture. It retains the oroginal doorway, paneled stone window lintels, and exceptionally well preserved dormer windows. The typical eight panelled door, framed by a pair of columnns set aginst rusticated woodwork, is surmounted by a glazed transom. The high stoop has simple wrought iron railings, with built in shoe scraper and ornamental scrolls at the top above the lnading."

The lower portion of #54 was also built by Abner Tucker in 1839.

"Perry St, south side (betw W 4th & Bleecker Sts)

  1. 78: This house has a new brick front and basement entrance and its lintels have been stuccoed over. Nevettheless, enough remains to indicate that the original architect, John O'Neil, followed the general design of Robert Mook for Nos. 72 - 76. Essentially, it is part of this same row. It was erected in 1869 by WILLIAM MULRY, a builder and contractor, who sold it to Henry Kloppenburg for his residence."
