S.W. Campbell's of Argyll who's profiles posted here are for research purpose only. Presently I have no proof they are related to the Campbell's who were in Jamaica.

I do know that the Campbell families in Jamaica were from Argyll.

Before settling in Jamaica, some were in Barbados. After leaving Jamaica some settled in England and the USA

The ones posted here will be used for reference and research and excluded if and when not found relevant to the search. If you are of the American branch and aware of the connections and can contribute info, please do.
If you have the history of your Campbell family in Jamaica, your collaboration on this project would be welcome ( just send me a message) thx

For DNA Testing:

Another option to consider is DNA testing of the Male line of the Campbell in your family.

One company: www.23andme.com is presently offering FREE Testing
for 2nd gen descendants of African families. to check this offer and the rules. go to:

http://www.thegeneticgenealogist.com/2013/11/01/23andmes-launches-t...

if not eigible for the above.. u can opt to take the autosomal test for $99.00 the company offers. www.23andme.com
