Rutty Family of Jamaica

This project is to research and find out more about the Rutty and other related families originating in Jamaica, West Indies.

The early migration of the Rutty family started with Samuel Rutty's sons (some family history said three of them) coming from Trowbridge, UK, to the West Indies. Other Rutty families went to North America and the U.S.

Interviews

According to Madeleine Mitchell, Rutty's came to Jamaica from London in about 1840. Settled in St Elizabeth, then Mandeville then Vere. ( Caribbean Surname Index - RUTTY, Jamaica, all )
