Burials at the Old Te Puke Cemetery began in the 1880s, with the first being John Dale Wrigley who died on 29 May 1886. Closed to new burials, the cemetery is located on the corner of Landscape Road, SH33, Te Puke.

In 1958 a new Te Puke Cemetery was opened on Dudley Vercoe Drive in Te Puke.
