A recent Dutch movie on Admiral Michiel Adriaanszoon de Ruijter showed the important battles at sea of the Dutch with the English and the Spanish fleets. But he was not the only famous Dutch admiral or captain. Others were Maarten Harpertszoon Tromp and Jan van Amstel. If you visit Amsterdam you could see SAIL Amsterdam in august 2015. Also the Scheepvaartmuseum at the famous Amsterdam Shipyard is wirth a visit.
