This branch of the Bankhead is not associated with the doctors of the south...."Jimmy" was from Ayrshire or Renfrewshire Scotland, he solicited the help of Ms Cathcart to get him to Canada. He arrived in Canada then proceeded down to the Plantation of VA. He met my Williams family, apparently the first wife died, and married Mary Williams of the Flatlands. She raised his four sons , then they had a daughter, Flora Jane, ...when Flora was 12 , she went to the home of Fleshers for proper home schooling...Somewhere along the way, she met my grandfather, Cornelius Hurley Williams of Braxton WVA, they married and had had as their child Flora Jane., ...
I dont think that is correct, she married Cornelius and had Russell Sage, my father....who was bortn in Braxton County in 1887....I do not know what happened to them after that....His name is on the Lanark Society ship passenger list.
If anyone knows of this family and can substantiate this information, I would like to hear from you.....
Thanks....
LU Hickey.
