I am Ken Blanch our name changed from Blance in 1803 when my great, great, great grandfather Magnus Blance/Blanch was gang pressed into the Scottish army. When they were filling it his forms he was told that Blance sounded French so they put a H, at the end. Our family originated from Shetland island. His son was Theodora Blanch and his son was Lawrence Blanch, then John R Blanch, then John L Blanch then Kenneth Blanch, which is me. And I have a son Peter Blanch. All of the people above had other siblings but I only listed straight down my line. Magnus Blanch's father was Olla Blance his father was John Blance and his father was Magnus Blance
