About the Miron surname

Ancestor of some Miron families, especially of those among Armenians of Moldova and Transsylvania, may be Miran-Shah ,son of Timur Lenk ,king of Samarkand and of surrounding territories as far as perhaps the Crimea .

Timur was known by historicinas using another aera ,namely that of Seleykids and others , in Armenia under the name Sanaturk ,whereas in Turkia under Turxanth, that is Turk-Santsh, the Turk Alexander . He is identical with Alexander from the Héródés family of Idumaia and Iudaia, who became the king of Armenia ,following Greek lifestyle already ,and ruled there until his death in about 56 that corrsponds to 1405 of Italian aera with beginning in 1349 b.c..

As Timur is also the ancestor of Moghul dynasty ,perhaps Miron Barnowski from Moghila clan , ruling in Moldova some centuries later ,was also their descendant and got his name to honour his royal ancestor, whose name might be thus given to the family Miron .
