Wax Genealogy and Wax Family History Information

Wax is the maiden name of Lily Markoff, mother of Pearl (Singer) and Eunice z"l. She had several sisters but one brother Harry (Zvi) who retained the family name of Wax. Harry served in the British Army in pre-State Israel under the British Mandate and after demob, returned to Israel where he lived till his death. He originally worked as Inspector in the Israeli Education Ministry and then moved to Haifa to head the English department of the Reali School and was headmaster at Beth Biram, a high school of the Reali. He had two sons, Danny and Yoav, both deceased.
