About the Williston surname

There are two distinct Williston families in North America. Through DNA, we can divide them into the Willistons of Springfield and the Willistons of Boston. Information about who the founders of these families is very thin but records take us back to the 1600s. We are not 100% sure of what our family name was initially as there are many variations and spellings over time.
