Brig. Gen. John Armstrong and Rebecca only had 2-3 children:
“Rebecca Armstrong’s (Armstrong) father was Archibald Armstrong not William or Edward Lyon and her mother’s name was Ann. There is no documentation of her maiden name. Rebecca Armstrong and John, Sr. were not related. Perhaps very distant but there is no record of them being cousins.”
Jacob Waters notes:
“I am a direct descendant of Rebecca Turner, and a member of the Armstrong Clan. The clan has researched this thoroughly. John, Sr’s parents are unknown at this point. “
