About Anna Margaret Susanna Bird
Note: A History of Highland County, Virginia, by Oren F. Morton, p. 264-5Some other sources give her first name as Margaret, but with all the same children.Wenderoth Family history gives her name as Anna Margaret Susannah Wenderoth -- anglicized to Wintrow in the U.S.1741c- Anna Margaret, dau. of Johanes Caspar WENDEROTH was born about 1741. She was probably the Susanna Margaret WINTROW who married, 1767, to John BIRD and lived in what is now Highland County, Virginia, during the period 1780-1819. Susanna WENDEROTH attended the Evangelical Reformed Church in Frederick, Maryland. The Church recorded dates of attendance and her age. See Blackwell, Lyle M., MY FATHERS (1979), pp.55-63; Carpenter, Vern A., WENDEROTH FAMILIES (1987), p.11,78; Oren F. Morton, HISTORY OF HIGHLAND COUNTY VIRGINIA , pp.264-267.
Anna Margaret was called Susanna.
Find A Grave Contributor, Buster Dee (48476474) suggests the following: "When Anna Margaret Susanna Wenderoth was born in 1742 in Prince George's, Maryland, her father, Johan, was 37, and her mother, Margaretha (Strep), was 31. She had 4 brothers - Johann Jacob Wenteroth (Winteroth), John Adam Wenderoth, Johan George Franz Wenderoth, and Johan Peter Wenderoth - and 4 sisters - Anna Maria Wenderoth, Anna Maria Catherine Wenderoth Jacob, Anna Maria Wenderoth (named for deceased), and Anna Barbara Wenderoth. She married John Bird about 1768. They had 9 children - Catherine Bird Deaver/Vandever, Adam Bird, Frederick Bird, John Bird, David Bird, Valentine Bird, William Bird, Mary Bird Deavers, and Jacob Bird.
"Susanna attended the Evangelical Reformed Church in Frederick, Maryland. The church recorded dates of attendance and her age. There is no record of her marriage to John Bird. Some of the record of her family is in a booklet “History of Highland County Virginia” by Oren F Morton B L. Note choice of names for the Bird children, several are the same as Susanna’s brothers and sisters. John Bird and his sons were farmers of Bath County, Virginia. John is said to have died while plowing his land. (Highland County was erected from Bath County in 1847)."
