Blankenship Genealogy and Blankenship Family History Information

The Blankenship name started out in Northern England and was first pronounced Blenkinsopp. Our ancestors settled in Virginia and i'm not sure exactly when the name became Blankenship, but there became two spellings of the name, Blankenship, and Blankinship, our family used both.
