Featured Project: Comic Book Villains & Superheroes

Yesterday, Comic-Con International 2011 began in San Diego, CA. Each year, thousands of fans wait in anticipation for this convention, which showcases comic books, science fiction, fantasy and film/television. Today, we thought it would be fun to highlight the Comic Book Villains & Superheroes project. This amusing project aims to gather the Geni profiles for all the actors who have portrayed comic book characters and their creators. Interested in learning more about the genealogy of these individuals? Join this project to help build the family trees of other famous portrayals of comic book characters and those who created them!

Today we highlighted Captain America portrayer, actor Chris Evan‘s Geni profile. Here’s a brief look at a few other profiles included in the project:

Stan Lee – He is a comic book writer, publisher and former president and chairman of Marvel Comics. Among his most notable creations are Spider Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and the Avengers.

Jack Nicholson – Academy Award winning actor Jack Nicholson famously portrayed the Joker in the 1989 Batman film.

 
Christopher Reeve – Reeve was an American actor, director, screenwriter and author. Although he played many diverse roles throughout his career, he is perhaps best remembered for his portrayal of Superman in four feature films.

Rebecca Romijn – Actress Rebecca Romijn is best known for her role as Mystique in the X-Men films.

 
Christian Bale – Versatile and highly acclaimed actor Christian Bale portrays Batman in director Christopher Nolan’s current take of the film franchise.
