Yesterday, August 24, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs announced he would be stepping down as the company’s CEO. Born in San Francisco, California, Jobs was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. In the late 1970s, he co-founded Apple with Steve Wozniak and through Jobs’s leadership, transformed the company into one of the largest and most profitable companies in the world.
