The Geni team will be heading to RootsTech this week from February 11-14. We will be joining the MyHeritage team in Salt Lake City, Utah to share with everyone the latest developments in the World Family Tree.

RootsTech is one of the largest family history events in the entire world! This unique genealogy conference brings techies and genealogists of all skill levels together to discover new technologies for researching your family history. Many hands-on presentations and workshops are available for the beginning researcher and the advanced genealogist.

This year our parent company, MyHeritage, is proud to be Platinum Sponsors of this unique event.

On Thursday, February 12, MyHeritage’s Chief Product Officer, Mike Mallin, will be giving a keynote address in the main lecture hall.

The MyHeritage team will also be speaking at classes during the conference:

Wednesday, February 11

  • Family Graph API – The Big Picture and New Developments, with Uri Gonen, SVP of Product Management at 1pm

Thursday, February 12

  • The MyHeritage Treasure Trove: An Overview of all Products and Features for Family Historians on MyHeritage, with Daniel Horowitz, Chief Genealogist at 11am
  • Discover New Research Opportunities with the MyHeritage and FamilySearch Partnership, with Mark Olsen, Business Development Manager at 1:30pm
  • Advance Your Research in Scandinavia with MyHeritage and Online Resources, with Mike Mansfield, Director of Content Production, at 3pm

  • Build and Manage Your Family Tree with the MyHeritage Mobile App, with Daniel Horowitz, at 4:30pm

We love meeting our users! The Geni team will be joining the MyHeritage family at the MyHeritage booth, so be sure to stop by and say hi!

If you can’t make it to the conference, be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest pictures and updates.

See you there!
