ABIEL5, Abiel4, Ezra3, Jonathan2, Joseph1
Abiel Baldwin, son of Abiel Baldwin and Mehitable Johnson, was b. in Durham, Conn., Aug. 28,1762; removed, says Rev. William C. Fowler, in his "History of Durham,Conn.", to Durham, NY.,and had eight children, of whom six appear in the Probate Record of Middletown, Conn., under the will of their grandfather, proved Aug. 30,1802. He d. April 30,1847. He m. EUNICE COE, who d. April 1847, aged 85. He was in the REVOLUTIONARY War and drew a pension.
Children were: Simeon Coe (1784), Ermessa (1786), Abiel (1788), Chauncey (1789), Abiel (1791), James (1793), Johnson (1796), Anna Morris (1800), and Elizur G.(1802). [The statement above may not have included the 1st Abiel; which is included in the listing of names. So there were 9 births; eight who lived past childhood, six still livng and named in grandfather's will]
