He was a farmer and had lived in Gray county since 1931. He was a member of the Pierceville Federated Church.
Survivors include: his wife of the home, sons, Gerald of Manhattan,Ks and Lonny of Pierceville,Ks; daughters, Judith Ann of Kansas City and Sandra Kay of Wichita,Ks; brothers, Jack and Delmar of Pierceville; Thomas of Monte Vista,Colo, Dr. Calvin Wartman of Bremerton,Wash,;sisters, Wenonah Mackey of Pueblo,Colo, Blanche streeter of Monte Vista,Colo, Herma Snodgrass of Los Animas,Colo and Betty Clark of Sedgwick.
Funeral was held at the St.James Lutheran Church, Garden City with Rev. Clay O'Delland Rev. Ivan Gjellstad.
Burial in Valley View Cemetery,Garden City.
Phillips-White Funeral Home of Garden City was in charge of arrangements.
