About Ann Eliza Magee

GEDCOM Note

Marriage Record Book "C" page 22 officiated by Willis Magee M. G.

Ann Elizabeth Tyson married Isham John Futch in Marion County Mississippi on August 4 1825.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Jun 2 2020, 20:05:25 UTC

Walter Edwin Tynes says she "reared a large family, lived on Pushpatappa Creek some 15 or more miles west of Pearl River." According to Andrew Edwin Magee, Ann and Isham Futch had seven children. Isham died and Ann remarried to Jacky Magee, who had had nine children with his first wife. Ann and Jacky Magee then added seven more children of their own, bringing the total to 23.

Futch family researchers have found records of only three, or possibly four (and not seven), children of Ann Eliza Tynes and Isham Futch.

She is called "Eliza Ann Tynes" on her 1825 marriage record.

On the 1850 census her age is listed as 40, rather than the 44 that would agree with Walter Edwin Tynes, the Fleming Tynes Bible, and the Nathan Smart Bible.

She was alive at least as late as 1867, when she signed documents regarding the estate of her second husband.

She is probably buried in the Warren Cemetery with other Tynes relatives in Sandy Hook, MS.
