Asa W. James

1855 - as per his father's Will, Asa received two negros named Elijah and Alford.

His age is taken from "A Family History of Jeremia Gardner"., by Leroy Gardner 1970

Matthew Walton James claimed in a 1937 interview that his father was Jimmon James and that he was killed when he was 5 years old.

I have seen some trees online that have Jimmon James as Asa James. I don't know if they are the same people or what.
