Per the 1860 Census Barbara, 8, is living in Montour Township of Columbia County, Pennsylvania with her parents Simon, 49, Rebecca, 46, and her siblings George Linn, 27, William, 24, Henry, 22, Susan, 19, Simon, 17, Barbara, 8, and her Aunt Mary Houck, 54.

Per family records Barbara E. Linn married Daniel Levan on September 11, 1869. Barbara would have 17 years old. Her husband Daniel Levan was born on July 30, 1845 in Roaring Creek Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. He would have been approximately 23 years old when he married Barbara Ellen Linn.

Per the 1870 Census Ellen Levan (Barbara Ellen), 17, was living with her husband David Levan,32, in Montour Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania with their son Charles, 7 months old, and Barbara Ellen's parents Simon, 62, and Rebeca, 59. Per the 1870 Census Ellen (Barbara Ellen) and David Levan were married in September of 1869. Simon Lynn lists his occupation as Laborer and David Levan lists his ocupation as Farm Laborer.

In between the 1870 and 1880 Census records Barbara and Daniel Levan had 3 children that died young. Charles H. Levan (Referenced as 7 months old in 1870 Cenus) died on December 7, 1879 at the age of 10 years and 2 months. Mary R. Levan died on December 12, 1879 at the age of 4 years, 11 months, and 21 days. Lloyd Levan died on December 4, 1879 at the age of 2 years, 11 months, and 5 days.

Per the 1880 (June 19, 1880) Census Barbara E., 27, was living with her husband Daniel, 34, in Montour Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania with their children: Emanuel, 8, and Clark 1. Daniel Levan listed that he was a Railroad Laborer.

Zhophas Daniel Levan died on January 4, 1899 at the age of 17 years, 7 months, and 18 days. 

Per the 1900 Census Barbara E. Levan, 48, was living with her husband Daniel, 55, in Montour Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania with their children Cerenis C. (Male) 21, Boyd F. 11, Martin R. 9, Cora Ella 7, and John H. 5.

In the 1900 Census Barbara lists her estimated birthdate as July 1852 and her estimated marriage year as 1870.

Per the 1910 Census Barbara E. Levan, 57, was living with her husband Daniel, 64, in Montour Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania with their children Boyd F. 20 and Cora E. 16.

Per the 1920 Census Daniel, 73, is a widowed and living in the same location with their children Cora E. 26, Boyd 32, and John H. 23. All three children are listed as being single at the time.

It is believed that Barbara Ellen Levan (Linn) and Daniel Levan had the following children:

Barbara Ellen Levan (Linn) and her husband Daniel Levan are buried at the Saint Peters Lutheran Cemetery in Grovania, Montour County, Pennsylvania.
