About Captain Robert Converse

[https://hdl.handle.net/2027/hvd.32044089933782] p. 328 #334

It appears he and his brother, Capt. Josiah petitioned for (and received) 400 acres of land to the MA House of Representatives beginning in 1733. One of the documents stated the land to be laid out near Leicester, and another just mentions landmarks.*Update: Appears to be present day Ashburnham, MA, and is referenced as the "Converse Grant" in numerous documents, but neither settled there. See attached PDF documents (4) for detail. Robert immediately sold his land to brother Josiah b. 1684

m. Mary Sawyer <do not see birth record for Mary Sawyer in Woburn, although a birth of abt. 1681 would fit for parents Joshua Sawyer and Sarah Wright> 19 Dec 1698, she survived him, dying probably in 1766 <confirmed aprox date via will documents>

Bequeathed his grandfather, Lt. James Converse homestead in 1715.
