Mrs. Gelia Weidenthal Glick Of Chicago Passes Away
Mrs. Celia Weidehthal Click, of Chicago, wife of Sigmund Glick, passed away in that city on Dec.12. Mrs. Glick was a member of one of Cleveland's pioneer Jewish families. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Weidenthal, who settled here shortly after the Civil War. Mrs. Click was apublic school teacher here until her marriage. For some years she was assistant principal of Tremont School. She moved to Chicago many years ago. Besides her husband, Mis. Glick is survived by a son, Edward, a daughter, Mis, Elsie Cohn and one grandson, all of Chicago, a brother, Leo Weidenthal and two sisters, Miss Lillie Weidenthal and Miss Evelyn Sperling, of Cleveland. Mrs. Glick was a sister of Leo Weidenthal, publisher of the Jewish Independent here. She was born here 84 years ago. Prior to her marriage Mrs. Glick was a teacher at Waring and Orchard schools and assistant principal at Tremont School. In the 1890s she was married to Signard Glick, owner of a wholesale millinery firm here. He continued that line of business in Chicago after moving there in 1920. Surviving Mrs. Glick besides her husband, are two children, Edward Glick and Mrs. Elsie Cohn.
