Clyde Ellsworth Blalock

2nd born son of Frank and Eulalia Blalock. Raised in Willow Springs Valley and Bakersfield with 8 brothers and 1 sister. Boxer, division welterweight, won 18 (KO 11) + lost 10 (KO 1) + drawn 5 = 33 ounds boxed 133 KO% 33.33 27-years-old when he was killed in a street brawl by a highway laborer in Bakersfield, California. Blalock was a mail truck driver at the time. March 10, 1933 Survived by his parents, brothers and sister, former wife Madge Butterfield and son David. Predeceased by a sister, Donna P. and 2 brothers, William and Oliver Wendell Blalock. Note: No marker, buried in potter field.
