Raised in Kern County, lived briefly in Tucson, Arizona, before moving to Eureka, California in the 50s. Worked in the building trades as a contractor. Avid hunter and fisherman. After retirement lived in Orick during the summer months and Quartzite, Arizona during the winter months. Followed the fish and the flea markets with his 2nd wife Ann. Died of heart failure while breaking down the fishing camp at Copperfield RV Park on the Snake River. Married to Alice Ballard in 1936 or 1937. Father of Carole Darlene and Cletha Anita Blalock. Survived by his daughters Carole McNeill, Milwaukee, Oregon and Cletha Moore, McKittrick, California his brothers Lee of Campbell and Robert F. Blalock of Oildale, California.
