Cora Ann Kimple

Mrs. Cora Ann Kimple, 76, of Dover R2, formerly of Orrtanna, died Thursday evening at 8:20 at her home. She had been in failing health for the last ten years. A native of Adams County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Shultz) Deardorff, and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, York. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence S Kimple, to whom she had been wed for 48 years; two daughters, Mrs. Justine Johnson, Dallastown R1, and Mrs. Verna Stambaugh, York; five grandchildren, one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. John Rebert, Orrtanna R2, and Mrs. Boyd Helm, York; a brother, Theodore Deardorff, Orrtanna, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday morning with a meeting at the Monahan Funeral Home on Carlisle St., at 9:15 to go to St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Buchanan Valley for a requiem mass t 10:00. Msgr. Louis J Yeager will officiate. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.
