The Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock in 1620. James Butler (Deacon John's father) resided in Lancaster, MA and was a land owner prior to 1659. Lancaster was settled in 1653. His Son (Deacon John) was the first settler in the Pelham, NH area in 1721.
