About Douglas Birch Richardson
Was educated at Gresham College, Holt, Norfolk, and at Liverpool University. In WWI went to the Front in 1914 with the Royal Engineers, was invalided home. Later joined the RFC, 29 Squadron, and was killed in a flying accident in 1916. His mother and stepfather were at that time living in Ingestre Road, Birkenhead. He is remembered on a memorial at St Andrew's Church, West Kirby.
