"Mr. Caparn moved & Mr. Ryall seconded that the Rev. J. W. Baker be requested to close the engagement with Coffey about the Church clock, and that Mr. Edward Squires be employed from the close of such engagement, at the rate of Five Pounds per annum to keep the Church clock regularly wound and properly regulated, according to his proposal, daed 27 November 1874" - Minutes of the Select Vestry of St. John the Baptist Cashel, 27 Nov, 1874.
