About Ellen Julia Crane

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=107806519

Ellen lived in Eden, Lamoille, Vermont in 1850 Census. She married Henry Crane in 1857. He was also from Vermont. They lived in Suez, Mercer Co, Illinois at the time of the 1860 Census and the 1870 Census. In 1885 they lived in Quincy, Adams Co., Iowa. In 1889 they lived in Kent, King County, Washington. In 1900 Ellen lived with her son Albert in Everett, Washington, according to the Census. Her husband, Henry, was living with their daughter Anna.

In the 1910 Census, Ellen cannot be found, so it is assumed that she and son Albert may be on their way to California. In the 1920 Census Ellen was living with her son Albert on Flora Ave, Bell, Los Angeles County, California. Ellen Rogers Crane died March 06, 1924 in Bell, Los Angeles County, California. She is buried in Ontario, San Bernardino, CA, in Bellevue Cemetery. All this information is from Jodi Orinoco, a descendant of Ellen and Henry Crane's oldest daughter, Mary Irene.

Ellen and Henry had six children (according to the Census reports), three of whom were living: Mary Irene, Charles Henry and Albert.

Cemetery records in Mercer Co, Illinois indicate that two of their children were buried there:

Jennie, daughter of H. F. and E. J. Crane, died April 10, 1872, age 7yr 2 mo

Ray E., son of H. F. and E. J. Crane, died Jan 15, 1880 age 3 yr 3 mo* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Nov 17 2023, 4:26:34 UTC
