Franklin M Martin

Frank M. Martin, 84, of East Earl,died Friday afternoon at his residence after a brief illness.

He was the husband of Elva Hershey Martin. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary Nov. 12.

Born in East Earl Township, he was a son of the late Frank Z. and Anna Martin Martin.

He was self-employed as a truck driver and also worked as a custodian at Garden Spot High School, Summitt Valley Elementary School and Victor F. Weaver Inc. prior to his retirement.

He was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, East Earl R1.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Elmer R., Akron;three daughters: Arlene M., wife of Paul G. Nolt, Mount Joy R1, Louella J., wife of Harold R. Horning, Narvon R1; and Elaine H. wife of James K. Landis, Strasburg; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters: Stella Zimmerman, Ephrata R4, Alta, wife of Paul Hoover, New Holland, and Edna, wife of Irvin Gingrich, New Holland.
