The Monday, 3 July 1978, edition of the Janesville Gazette contained the following obituary (page 4, col. 1):
GLENN I. ORMSBEE
Glenn I. Ormsbee, 72, of 315 E. Racine, died this morning [3 July 1978] at Mercy Hospital after an illness.
A lifelong Janesville resident, he was born here May 16, 1906, and for many years prior to 1961 was a partner in the Ormsbee-Chatworthy Garage. For the past 17 years he had been employed at Bud's Mobile Station.
Mr. Ormsbee was married to Leone Little September 17, 1930, in Janesville and was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Donald, Janesville, two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Glass, Walworth, and Karen of Janesville; six grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Ormsbee, Janesville, and a stepsister, Mrs. Rea Stringer, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday [6 July 1978] at Wolfgram Henning Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
