The Wednesday, 4 August 1909, issue of the Janesville (Rock County, Wisconsin) Daily Gazette carried the following obituary for Nina Mae Bullock Ormsbee:

MRS. C.I. ORMSBEE HAS PASSED AWAY

DEATH BROUGHT AN END TO HER SUFFERINGS AT THREE O'CLOCK THIS MORNING

After an illness lasting nine weeks, Mrs. May [sic] Ormsbee, wife of C.I. Ormsbee, died this morning [4 August 1909] about three o'clock at her home, 750 South Main Street. Since the death of her father, Hiram Bullock [on 24 March 1909], Mrs. Ormsbee has been in ill health and an attack of nervous prostration brought on the diseases which caused her death.
Mrs. Ormsbee was born in the town of Lima [Rock County, Wisconsin], May 16, 1879. She was married March 22, 1899, to C.I. Ormsbee, and immediately after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Ormsbee went to Platteville [Grant County, Wisconsin] to live. They remained in that city two years and then came to Janesville [in 1901] which has since been their home. During the eight years that she has lived here, Mrs. Ormsbee had made many friends to whom her loss will be a deep sorrow. By her death four small children are left motherless. She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, four children, Loren, Marion, Hazel and Glenn, a mother Mrs. H. Bullock [sic; Mina R. Bullock was actually her stepmother; her mother was Louisa Bartlett Bullock], and a brother, E.E. Bullock of this city.
The funeral will be held Friday [6 August 1909] morning at 10:30 from the home of her [step]mother, Mrs. H.J. Bullock [Mina R. Bullock], 778 South Main Street. Interment will be in the cemetery at North Johnstown.
