About Ida Jaffé
Ida Jaffé, Hannover, as 17-year-old, (c. 1888/89), married Joshua Jaffé (born Schwerin July 2, 1855, They ran a clothing store, died Hannover March 20, 1931), They lived in Hannover, Hedwigstrasse, She moved to Hannover- List, Karl-Kraut-Str. 2 after her husband’s death and, later to Jewish retirement home; On Dec 15, 1941 she was deported from Hannover to Riga, killed there --- She had no children
Ida was very close to the family of her brother-in-law David Jaffé. Her great-niece Hanna Medalia remembers Ida very well and wrote Ida’s testimony page for Yad Vashem.
