About Klara Jacobson
Klara wrote a memoir. In the transcription of some verbal discussion of the memoir, she wrote: Klara describes how she loved getting up with Marcus in the mornings.
Marcus always got up very early. First, he would wash himself with cold water from head to toe, In summer he got up at 4 o'clock, he said his morning grace and made coffee, and any of the children who were already awake could have coffee with him. Klara explains that these were the nicest hours.
About Klara: Klara moved to Hamburg in 1936. She emigrated to the US to New York where she died in 1949. We have a picture of her at her birthday party shortly before she died. See attached photo.
