Isaac Wohlgemuth, (twin)

Isaac Warkentin Wohlgemuth was born on June 1, 1906, to Cornelius P. and Maria Wohlgemuth at Blumenhof (near Steinbach), Manitoba. He departed this life on December 14, 1993, at Bethesda Hospital, Steinbach, Manitoba, reaching the age of eighty-seven years. His death was the result of complications of old age. He lived in the Blumenhof, Manitoba, area all his life until he entered the Maplewood Manor in Steinbach on December 23, 1987. At about fifteen years of age, he showed his decision to serve the Lord. In more recent years he spoke of an experience where God had shown him an area in his life that he should deal with and the release God had given him. We commit him into the hands of our loving God. He lived alone on his farm, but his occupation as an electrician brought him into contact with many people, which he always enjoyed. He unselfishly and quietly gave himself whenever there was a need, asking no recognition. He greatly appreciated the kindness shown him by his friends and neighbors. His nephews and nieces were very dear to him. Those left to cherish fond memories are: one brother, Henry and wife Edna, Steinbach, Manitoba; two sisters: Elizabeth, Mrs. Ed Penner, Greenland, Manitoba; and Minnie and husband Frank Doerksen, Cartwright, Manitoba; two sisters-in-law: Linda, Mrs. Henry Wiebe, Steinbach, Manitoba; and Minna, Mrs. Cornelius Wohlgemuth, Greenland, Manitoba; and many nephews, nieces, and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, and an infant brother and sister. Funeral services were held on December 18, 1993, at the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Ste. Anne, Manitoba. Ministers Edgar Wohlgemuth and Linden Wohlgemuth were in charge. Burial was in the Greenland Cemetery, Ste. Anne, Manitoba.
