Isabella Semple was born on 18 October 1857, daughter of William Semple and Janet "Jessie" (Barr) Semple.

Isabella was married 3 different times: John Currie, James Craig and James Ralston. She was the mother of Jessie Barr Rumgay, William Semple Craig, Eliazbeth Thomson Chambers, John Ralston and William Ralston.
