William Semple (1848-1877)

William Semple was born on July 2, 1848 in Dalserf, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, a son of William Semple (1826-bef.1909) and Janet "Jessie" (Barr) Semple (1825-1909). He is the twin brother of Thomas Semple (1848-1858).

He is the brother of John Semple (1846-1922); Henry Barr Semple (1849-1918); Peter Semple (1852-1908); James Semple (1854-1911); Robert Semple (1855-1948); Isabella (Semple) Ralston (1857-1936); Thomas Semple (1859-1889); Margaret (Semple) Melvin (1861-1890); Janet (Semple) Marchbank (1863-1932); Jane (Semple) Marchbank (1865-1933); Agnes (Semple) Melvin (1867-1925) and Elizabeth (Semple) Hepburn (1869-1911).

William Semple married Janet Hamilton (1851-1919). He is the father of William Semple (1874-1959).

On June 4, 1877 at age 28, William Semple, coal miner, died at 7:30 am from the cause of heart disease, for year and half, and dropsy, for 6 months, as certified by Dr. Alex Rae, Surgeon, in Swinhill, Dalserf, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. His brother, Henry Semple, was informant on record of his death.
