Peter Semple (1852-1908)

Peter Semple was born 1852 in Dalserf, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, son of William Semple (1826-before 1909) and Janet "Jessie" (Barr) Semple (1825-1909).

He became the brother of John Semple (1846-1922); Thomas Semple (1848-1858); William Semple (1848-1877); Henry Barr Semple (1849-1918); James Semple (1854-1911); Robert Semple (1855-1948); Isabella (Semple) Ralston (1857-1936); Thomas Semple (1859-1889); Margaret (Semple) Melvin (1861-1890); Janet (Semple) Marchbank (1863-1932); Jane (Semple) Marchbank (1865-1933); Agnes (Semple) Melvin (1867-1925) and Elizabeth (Semple) Hepburn (1869-1911).

In 1874, he married Euphemia Sorbie (1860-1937). They became the parents of William Semple (1875-1948); Matthew Sorbie Semple (1876-1895); Flora McLean (Semple) Sweeney (1879-1960); Peter Semple (1881-1883); Jessie Barr Semple (1883-1893); Robert Semple (1885-c.1969); Euphemia Sorbie (Semple) Stratton (1889-1973) and Peter Semple (1891-1963).

On 14 May 1908 at age 56, Peter Semple died from a fracture of the vault and base of skull after falling from a railway bridge to the road below in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. His gravestone is in the Dalserf Churchyard Cemetery, Dalserf, South Lanarkshire, Scotland.
