About Jesse Russell York
- Updated from MyHeritage Family Trees via brother Thomas York by SmartCopy: Jan 31 2015, 8:10:47 UTC
Jesse YORK is the third born of ten children born to Jeremiah YORK I and his wife Sarah Ann WILSON. Jesse and his brother Elijah were avid hunters and trappers in the mountains of western Pennsylvania.
Jesse migrated from western Pennsylvania down the Ohio River to Dover, Mason County, Kentucky with the Jeremiah York II family before 1790. Jesse lived for over 20 years in Dover, Mason County, Kentucky where he is believed to be buried in the same Kentucky cemetery as his brother, Jeremiah York II who migrated from Virginia to western Pennsylvania to Kentucky. This branch of the Jeremiah York II family and brother Jesse York never migrated to North Carolina where the rest of the Jeremiah York I Family migrated to in 1755.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Aug 26 2020, 17:19:35 UTC
