Biography

Joseph Root, son of John Sen. of Farmington. He. m. (1) Sept. 17, 1691, Elizabeth Warner of Middletown ; m. (2) May 3, 1727, Ruth, widow of Samuel Smith, and dau. of Thos. Porter. He lived at Farmington, Ct., and with his wife united with the Congregational church there, April 17, 1692. He d. Dec. 18, 1739.

2. Mary, b Jan 22, 1694; m June 4, 1714, Jonathan Lee. She d 1760, ae 66.
3. Joseph, b Aug 27, 1699, f., d 1751, ae 52.
