Lady Jean Cunningham is the eldest daughter of William, Earl of Glencairn. NRS: GD39/1/301 According to the Reverend John Anderson, Jean Cunningham was a daughter of Earl William's first wife, Lady Anne Ogilvy. The Scots Peerage IV: 249

17 - 23 April 1661: Instrument of Sasine in favour of Lady Cunningham, eldest daughter of William, Earl of Glencairn, of the £5 land of Baddenhaith with the teinds thereof in parish of Lenzie and sheriffdom of Dumbarton, the £33 land of the lands and barony of Grugar in bailiary of Cunninghame, the £20 land of Hairshawmuir with the mill and mill lands thereof, the £11 6s. 8d. land of Welstoune and mill called Crooksmylne and mill lands and teinds thereof, in lordship of Kilmarnock and sheriffdom of Ayr; on contract of Marriage dated 28 Nov. 1660, between William, Lord Boyd, and said Lady Jean Cunningham, whereby he bound himself to infeft Lady Jean in above lands.
