28 November 1660 and 25 Aptil 1661: Contract of marriage between William Lord Boyd and Lady Jean Cunningham eldest daughter of William Earl of Glencairn Lord High Chancellor of Scotland with consent of the Earl, By which inter alia Lord Boyd obliges him to infeft Lady Jean his promised spouse in the 5 pound land of Badinoch with the tower fortalice etc lying in the parish of Lenzie and county of Dumbarton etc. Witnesses James Lord Kilmaurs eldest son and Colonel Robert Cunningham brother german of the Earl Sir John Craufurd of Kilbirnie, Sir Alexander Morison of Prestongrange and Sir John Gilmour of Craigmiller knights Robert Boyd of Pitcon, Mr John Cunningham younger of Broomhill Advocate, Robert Cunningham physician to the king and Mr Robert Wallace Minister at Barnwell. 17 - 23 April 1661: Instrument of Sasine in favour of Lady Cunningham, eldest daughter of William, Earl of Glencairn, of the £5 land of Baddenhaith with the teinds thereof in parish of Lenzie and sheriffdom of Dumbarton, the £33 land of the lands and barony of Grugar in bailiary of Cunninghame, the £20 land of Hairshawmuir with the mill and mill lands thereof, the £11 6s. 8d. land of Welstoune and mill called Crooksmylne and mill lands and teinds thereof, in lordship of Kilmarnock and sheriffdom of Ayr; on contract of Marriage dated 28 Nov. 1660, between William, Lord Boyd, and said Lady Jean Cunningham, whereby he bound himself to infeft Lady Jean in above lands.
