Leonard Townshend was born in the Colony of Western Australia (1832-1900)
Leonard James (Townsend) Townshend, son of James Edwin Townshend and Rebecca Rosa Carson, was born in 1886 in Geraldton, Western Australia. [1]

Leonard married Alice Mary Daniel in 1908 in Perth, WA. [2]
