Wife was leftchildless, and widowed at 17 years of age. She returned to Quebec, and in5 months, married a tailor, Jean Mignot dit Chatillon, on Nov 10, 1648.They had 14 children. Louise remarried a third time after Jean died in1680. This time to aSaddlemaker, Jean Pierre Mataux, (Mataut). a widowerwith 2 children. They had none together. Louise died on Jan 22, 1699 atage 68.

Louise married François Marguerie, Sieur de la Haye at the age of fourteen. He was one of the most colorful men of early New France. A guide and interperter of Indian languages, he lived and worked among the tribes and even survived capture and imprisonment by the Iroquois. Shortly after they moved to Trois-Rivières, he was drowned in a canoe accident. Childess and widowed at seventeen, Louise returned to Québec where she married the tailor, Jean Mignot dit Chatillon 5 months later. In 1689 Louise married saddlemaker Jean-Pierre Mataux. Volume 5 page 59 of Our French-Canadian Ancestors by Laforest.
