Jeremiah Sr. BEAL was baptised 17d 4m 1631 at Wymondham, Hingham Parish, Norfolkshire, England. He married Sarah RIPLEY 18d 11m 1652 at Boston, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts. Jeremiah Sr. was a blacksmith who had a large family of seven children of whom one was lost in infancy. He appears to have more descendants in number than any of his siblings and half-siblings except for his elder half-sister Mary (BEAL) WHITON.

Lieut. Jeremiah Beal. Born ca 1631 in Wymondham, Norfolk. Jeremiah was baptized in Wymondham, Norfolk, on 17 Apr 1631. Jeremiah died in Hingham, MA on 10 Aug 1716.45 Occupation: Blacksmith.

Jeremiah, constable 1672, selectman 1671, 1673, and 1684, representative 1691, 1692, 1701. Jeremiah and Sarah resided on Bachelor (Main) St. near the meeting house of the First Parish, but late in live on East, near Hull St.
