John Wilson, Jr. was born about 1651 in England.

Per "History of the Town of Bedford, Massachusetts, from its Earliest Settlement to the Year of Our Lord 1891", published 1891 by Abram English Brown, John Wilson was the son of John Wilson. He died in Bedford on 1 February, 1735 at age 84 years.

He was established as a corn-miller before 1683, and in 1685 received a grant for thirty acres of land "for encouragement of his corn mill".

Lt. John Wilson, of Billerica, married Susanna Goodenow Rediat Miles of Concord, on 10 November, 1698 in Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts. They were married by Justice Minot. VR

He was a lieutenant in the Massachusetts Militia and Cotton Mather said "distinguished himself in the wars of 1692-3 by going to the relief of Dover during the Indian alarm" at that place, serving under Captain Converse.
John was prominent in the early years wars, at the Eastward.

21 March, 1883, at a town meeting, "Billerica granted to John Wilson Jr. (Lieutenant), priviledge upon our commons for ye future, to the proportion of a five-acre lot, he paying to ye town's use twenty shillings in silver, within six months".
