=========================================

Clara Maria Chapa (0326)

  • is the legitimate daughter of Nicolas Chapa (0206) and Inez Benavides Flores.
  • Clara married Juan Diego Longoria Garcia circa 1718. The following children of this union were provided by Nick Hinojosa, 1712 Woolfe, Galena Park, Tx 77547.

  • 2. Circa 1725 Jose Matias Longoria (0425) who married Maria Margarita Hinojosa.
  • 3. Circa 1730 Ana Maria Longoria (0427)
  • 4. Jan 8 1735 Juana Rosa Longoria (0428) who married Francisco Xavier Salinas. Marriage Investigations , #24-5, 8 Jan. 1735.

  • 9. 1735/09/22 Maria Agueda de Longoria (0433) who married Salvador Vela. Salvador Vela is the son of Francisco Vela and Francisca Olivaries. Marriage Investigations, p-95.

Garmendia Leal lists a possible 2nd marriage or the first marriage under slightly different names.

  • (1) Maria de Chapa married Joseph Longoria
  • (2) Clara de Chapa married Diego de Longoria

I believe the above couples are one and the same. Consider Clara Maria de Chapa marrying Juan/Joseph Diego Longoria. If this assumption is true, they had at least 12 children.
