No Stonetown or Stonestown in Ulster can be identified, but Edmund settled at Stonestown, King's County (now Offaly) according to 'Pedigree of Armstrong of Mangerton in Scotland' (National Library of Ireland GO Ms. 171).

One of the contributors to this profile gives his place of death as Boston. However, John Armstrong's 'The pedigree of the family of Armstrong' (National Library of Ireland Ms 5216) records that he was an officer in Charles I's army, was a Justice of the Peace, was sheriff for King's County, died at Stonestown which he had received for life from his wife's family the Hamiltons, and was buried at Tissaran in the Hamilton family vault.
